Aroma: Carrot seed oil has a woody and an earthy sweet smell.It has a yellowish pale orange colour and viscous consistency. It is an annual herb and has hairy leaves and umbels of white lacy flowers.
Largest Producing Countries: Carrot seed oil is taken from the wild carrots seen in parts of Europe. France, Egypt, Hungary, India and The Netherlands are the major producers of carrot seed oil.
Traditional Use: The name carrot was derived from the Greek word “Caroton”. People of those times found out that the oil has medicinal values and in modern days it is still used for many diseases.
