Traditional Use: Cardamom is a native of India and is a widely used ingredient in Ayurvedic medicines. It is also used in many of the Indian recipes.Ancient Indian scriptures mentions about cardamom and cardamom oil and it has prescribed for weight loss, urinary tract infections, bad breath, indigestion and jaundice. Traditionally Indians chew cardamom wrapped in betel leaves for better digestion and in the modern India it is been continued.

Properties:

Cardamom oil is an effective medicine in curing muscular and respiratory seizures. It gives relief for muscle pulls and cramps, breathing problems like the asthma and whooping cough. It acts as the perfect antispasmodic. It is an effective antimicrobial and antiseptic too. It disinfects the oral cavities with just a mouth wash and eradicates bad breath. Safety Data: Cardamom oil is comparatively safe oil and there is no toxic effects consuming cardamom oil. But like any other oil excess usage is not advisable. Excess usage heats up the body resulting in stomach upsets and irritation. Pregnant woman and breast feeding mothers are advised to consume cardamom oil.
